I’ve always felt drawn to elephants — their presence, their symbolism, their quiet strength. And recently, I’ve been reflecting on why.
Elephants represent patience, memory, protection, and steady forward movement. They don’t rush. They don’t react impulsively. They move with intention, carrying both wisdom and gentleness in equal measure.
In Hindu symbolism, Ganesha — the elephant-headed guardian — is known as the remover of obstacles. But that phrase is often misunderstood. Ganesha doesn’t erase difficulty. He teaches discernment. He helps us navigate thresholds with awareness rather than force.
That feels deeply aligned with where I am now.
As I’ve been working with moon rituals, intention, and presence, one truth has become clear: speed has often been my way of avoiding what slowing down reveals. Stillness brings awareness. Awareness brings feeling. And feeling requires courage.
Elephant energy reminds me that courage doesn’t have to be loud. It can be slow. It can be steady. It can be deeply rooted.
This symbolism isn’t about belief — it’s about recognition. About seeing a reflection of resilience, care, and quiet power in something ancient and universal.
As I move forward, I’m choosing to honor that energy.
To move deliberately.
To trust the path as it unfolds.
To meet obstacles with patience rather than resistance.
Sometimes, the symbols that follow us are simply reminding us of who we already are.
